Please do not use your web browser's back or forward buttons as they may not navigate properly. Instead, use the buttons provided on the website such as: Return to dashboard, Return to job descriptions, and Save and continue to next section.

Choosing the appropriate Job Summary:

  • When matching jobs within your organization to those in the Survey, be sure to match based on the job summary content, rather than the title.
  • A job does not have to match the job summary 100% to be a valid match. As a guideline, if 80% of the job responsibilities match the summary provided, consider this an equal to match.
  • Not every job in your organization will be included in the list of possible matches. Do not attempt to provide data on these jobs. Provide data only for those jobs where a reasonable match can be found.

Degree of Match for a Job Summary:

The degree of match indicates how closely your job matches to the job summary provided in the Survey.

  1. If the job responsibilities for your position include some, but not all of those described in the PFHR survey, indicate “less than description”.
  2. As a guideline, if 80% of job responsibilities overlap the job summary, indicate “match”.
  3. If the job responsibilities for your position include what is provided in the PFHR survey, but also go beyond what is described, indicate “more than description”.

If one or more of the major responsibilities of the job are not included in the benchmark job summary, or the description includes several duties/aspects not undertaken, consider selecting a different job summary.
